BITE-SIZED SOMATIC PRACTICES FOR EVERY BRAIN AND EVERY BODY.
SOMATIC SNACKS
Accessible 2–5-minute somatic experiments designed for real-life use, anytime, anywhere, and for any body.
WHAT IS A
SOMATIC SNACK?
Somatic Snacks are short, low-pressure practices for noticing what your body and nervous system are already doing, without demanding that you calm down, regulate perfectly, or “fix” yourself.
SNACK = Somatic Noticing, Attuning, Curiosity, Knowledge.
Not full routines, “perfect” regulation protocols, or another wellness chore. Just small experiments you can try, modify, skip, repeat, or bail out on if they aren’t useful.

BUILT FOR REAL LIFE CAPACITY
-
ANYWHERE
In bed
At your desk
In a waiting room
Between meetings
When you’re overstimulated
When a 30-minute practice is absolutely not happening
-
ANY TIME
No perfect setup required. Try one when you notice you need something, or even when you’re not sure what you need yet.
There’s no time like the present, seriously… give Somatic Snacks a try.
-
FOR ALL BODIES
“Yogariffic” isn’t really our vibe. Whether you need to lie down, slow down, or speed up, Somatic Snacks are meant to be adapted for different mobility, pain, energy, sensory, and access needs.
-
FOR ALL BRAINS
Built for overthinkers, avoiders, forgetters, freeze responders, and people whose brains do not reliably cooperate with wellness routines.
WHEN TO USE SOMATIC SNACKS
Feeling stuck or frozen
Coming down from an intense interaction
Exploring discomfort
Reconnecting with your body
Transitions
Restlessness or overwhelm
Noticing what you need without immediately trying to fix, change, or explain it
HOW SOMATIC SNACKS ARE DIFFERENT
Less “regulate your nervous system.”
More noticing what your nervous system is already doing.
Built around a few simple ideas:
Low-capacity by design
Choice over compliance
Curiosity over performance
Adaptation over doing it “right”
Context-aware and trauma-informed
Somatic Snacks are not a promise to “calm you down”. They’re an invitation to notice, experiment, and find out what actually helps in the moment you’re in.
Three Micro Practices
Try it, you might like it…
Relax your jaw.
Unclench your hands. Let your tongue rest somewhere comfortable. Notice what changes. Would you like to make any other shifts?
Let that sh*t go!
Wherever you are in the breath, sigh it out through your mouth. Take the BIGGEST INHALE you’ve taken all day. Now, once again, sigh it out (make as much noise as you’d like) and let that sh*t go!
Sink into your seat.
Sit or lie somewhere comfy. Take a moment to settle in, shifting back and forth until you find stillness. Take a few breaths, and with each exhale, sink a little deeper into the space beneath you. Notice how your body meets the surface. Allow yourself to be supported.
