ABOUT TACOCAT WELLNESS

Wellness support for people who don’t fit neatly into wellness culture.

Tacocat Wellness is a neurodivergent-affirming, capacity-centered wellness company for people navigating real bodies, relationships, work, systems, and capacity.

We offer coaching, practical support, business strategy, and accessible resources without requiring you to become a better, calmer, more optimized version of yourself first.

WHY WE’RE HERE

Because “just take better care of yourself” is not a strategy.

A lot of wellness advice assumes you have enough time, money, energy, safety, predictability, and control to follow it.

Many people don’t.

Tacocat Wellness was built around a different question: What support is actually usable when capacity, bodies, relationships, identities, work, money, and environments are complicated?

CONTEXT MATTERS

Stress and overwhelm do not happen in a vacuum. Identity, disability, relationships, work, resources, power, and environment all shape what is possible.

CAPACITY CHANGES

Support should be flexible enough to work on good days, bad days, and the weird in-between ones, not only when you have your shit together.

We’re less interested in helping people perform wellness correctly and more interested in helping them build lives they can (and actually want to) inhabit.

OUR POV

We don’t assume that your body, brain, emotions, relationships, work habits, or coping strategies are problems waiting to be corrected.

We start by getting curious about what they are doing, what they have helped you survive or navigate, what they cost you now, and what other choices might become available.

AUTONOMY OVER COMPLIANCE

You get to make informed choices about your body, relationships, care, and life.

CONTEXT OVER JUDGMENT

Behavior makes more sense when we understand the conditions surrounding it.

CAPACITY OVER PERFORMANCE

The best tool is not the most impressive one. It is the one you can actually use.

Curiosity over correction

Discomfort isn’t always danger. Rest isn’t always avoidance. Healing isn’t always linear.

A lot of wellness culture flattens complicated experiences into simple rules: regulate more, rest more, set the boundary, listen to your body, think positively.

Sometimes those things help. Sometimes they don’t.

We make room for harder questions: When does accommodation become avoidance? When does pushing through become self-abandonment? How do you tolerate uncertainty without forcing certainty? How do you stay connected to other people without abandoning yourself, or everyone else?

We care less about giving you the “right” answer and more about helping you build enough awareness, capacity, and choice to find an answer that makes sense for you.

HOW WE GOT HERE

Tacocat Wellness started in 2021 with many questions about what support could look like if we stopped trying to do wellness “right” and started building support around real human lives.

TCW grew out of years of work across disability services, mental health, education, behavioral support, nonprofit leadership, community work, and entrepreneurship. Again and again, we saw people blamed for struggling inside systems that were rigid, inaccessible, under-resourced, or strategically not built with them in mind.

Over time, the work expanded beyond individual coaching into practical support, nervous-system education, business strategy, resources, and tools for navigating capacity, relationships, work, and uncertainty.

What started as a small coaching practice is becoming something broader: an accessible wellness company building support for the moments between “I’m fine” and “everything is on fire.”

Tacocat Wellness: a five-year case study in iteration, capacity planning, accidental brand strategy, and refusing to let “we’ve always done it this way” become an operating model. We’ve changed the logo, the offers, the systems, and occasionally the entire plan. The through-line? Build something useful for real humans and make it sustainable enough to keep existing.

Different humans. Shared values.

A FEW THINGS WE’RE NOT.

  • We’re not medical advice, therapy, or crisis care. BUT… we’re a great option if you’ve tried therapy, are in therapy, or aren’t looking for therapy. We’re not competitors; we’re co-existors.

  • We’re not interested in diagnosing your personality.

  • We’re not selling perfect routines.

  • We’re not here to make you more productive at your own expense.

  • We don’t believe “regulated” is the only acceptable way to be.

  • And we are definitely not going to tell you to buy a new morning routine.

Whether you’re looking for coaching, business strategy, practical guidance, useful resources, or simply somewhere to start making sense of what’s going on, there’s probably a way Tacocat can purrvide support.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BECOME A DIFFERENT PERSON TO DESERVE USEFUL SUPPORT.
